Intracompany Mentorship

Global UX Agency | Lead Researcher

During my time here, I have dedicated to developing talent within my organization. Not only do I manage a team of four direct reports, guiding their professional development and facilitating strategic career planning aligned with their growth objectives, but also provide mentorship to the rest of the research team as well as our design team members. Additionally, I launched a research knowledge-sharing program (Research Drops 🎤) and conducted weekly Research Office Hours to equip teammates with additional tools, improve presentation skills, and offer guidance on various aspects of UX research.

For the company’s Research Drop 🎤 program, some of the topics covered have been: Service Design 101, User Interviewing 101, Desk Research 101, Problem-Scoping 101, and more.

Cybersecurity Start-up | Senior UX Researcher

I provided research mentorship to various colleagues throughout the organization, including our UX designers, UX engineer, product managers, customer success and support team members, and engineers. In guided and consulted them on topics such as problem-scoping, interview scripts, screeners, usability test scripts, methodologies, best practices, using UserTesting, and more.

During my time here, I developed a User Interviewing 101 workshop with the Director of UX Tarryn Lambert to teach UX, Product, Customer Success, Customer Support, Sales, and HR how to ask better questions. During Innovation Week in July 2022, I prepared two activities for our company to participate in. One was a workshop to help familiarize the company with using FigJam to brainstorm (FigJam had just recently launched at this time). The second activity was centered around Empathy Mapping and storyboarding.

Company

I created over 15 research, synthesis, ideation/brainstorming, and planning templates, used not only by UX teams but also Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc. These templates increase efficiency since they are ready to use and speed up workflow and brainstorming/ideation. Some of the templates I have created are:
